In 2004, our beloved stepfather Ray, an avid golfer, had a stroke. Ray was not just a passionate golfer but also an energetic retiree who enjoyed working at the local golf course. Despite his stroke, Ray's spirit remained undeterred—he still walked the course daily and continued working. However, his grip strength was severely affected, making it impossible for him to hold his golf clubs.
Ray's newfound constant presence
at home began to drive our mother
a little crazy. It was then that
necessity truly became the mother
of invention. Determined to find a
solution, I worked tirelessly to
create something that would allow
Ray to continue golfing and give
my mom some peace of mind.
And that's how the StrokeMaster
was born!We crafted a unique
device by wrapping Velcro and
elastic around Ray's hand and sewing the strap onto his golf glove. It was nothing short of a miracle for Ray. The StrokeMaster allowed him to play golf for several more years, even sharing joyful moments on the course with his grandchildren. This picture captures Ray, proudly displaying the original StrokeMaster, surrounded by his grandkids on the golf course —
a testament to resilience and innovation. Creating the StrokeMaster has been a true labor of love. Sharing this aid with others who struggle with grip issues and helping them reclaim the joy of their favorite activities is incredibly rewarding. I know Ray's spirit is with me every step of the way, inspiring and guiding this journey.
